When at Plaid the first time I waded back into the craft waters. I will try to give you what I used for this project, but some are gone into the far corners of my brain… They will never return! It’s a simple craft that I did! So, there aren’t too many things I used in this project.

My Tools

I came up with the idea for the craft after I bought the surface. I wanted to do a picture on a wood canvas, but couldn’t find any. This spoke to me, instead of doing one thing I could do 9 pictures. I was super excited. I picked out the 9 pictures I wanted to use. I, however, printed out about 12. I couldn’t decide until I got them cut out and on the board.

Step 1 – Cut out pictures and arranged on the board the way I liked.

Step 2 – Pain the board and tiles. I used Folk Art Pure Black, however you could use any of the blacks in the FolkArt line up. This took me a little longer than I was expecting. Painting is not a fast process. I applied two coats of the paint.

Step 3 – After the tiles dried. I Mod Podged the pictures to the tiles using the Mod Podge Matt. As directed I put a coat of Mod Podge down on the tile and some on the back of the picture. I used the tools to get the air bubbles out.

Step 4 – After the tiles have dried. I put on a second coat of Mod Podge.

TIP: I used Card stock for the images. You can use regular paper. The card stock sticks up a lot more than I thought it would. Also, if you’re new to Mod POdge you will see from right to left the Mod Podge dries clear!

Step 5 – I put the tiles in the board and it was ready for display.

It was really simple to do. I still have this and love this piece. You can use any color for the tiles and board you want. Also, it would be cool to use some of the other formulas of Mod Podge on them. Like the Antique pics on Black & White pics, Extreme Glitter on others. The list could go on and on!

I will have new projects soon! But I wanted to cover the thing that started my journey into crafting again.
